World War II– Propaganda Posters.
You and your partner are to select five World War II era propaganda posters with a common theme. Look through all of the posters. Using the IPad, snap a photo of your chosen five. After you answer the questions below about your three posters, meet with Mr. Cox to discuss your choices.
•What is the overall message of the poster? (what it wants the public to do)
• What if / any emotions does the poster play upon?
• What would be the effect that the poster would likely have on people at the time?
• Identify any symbols and images used on the poster
• Define any words used on the poster
• How does the arrangement of the images and words have meaning?
• How do the colors of the poster add to the message?
